Previously, creasing matrix was rarely used with corrugated material, as the quality of the crease lines was not subject to such stringent requirements. Nowadays, increased levels of sophistication in terms of print and finishing quality are required, and using the correct creasing matrix can greatly improve the overall result- enter Corrugate. A wider base with a shallower, more progressive angle of chamfer improves board flow, and the wider base also provides stronger adhesion to the plate, and spreads out the pressure on the matrix, reducing the likelihood of marking the board or leaving a witness mark. Combine Corrugate with the specific ejection rubbers for corrugated board, and you've got a recipe for dramatically improved corrugated creasing.
